About Us

Spotted cow and calf at Lamgo Farms

Our Farm

Founded over 20 years ago, Lamgo Farms LLC began as a Doodle dog breeding operation after the loss of our son William to a rare heart defect. Our mission was to provide fine support and therapy dogs for families coping with emotional challenges.

In addition to our cattle, horses, ducks, and chickens, we've added a miniature sheep breeding program to our farm, including Harlequins and Babydoll Southdowns.

Sandra and Phil Lamgo of Lamgo Sheep

Sandi & Phil Lamgo

Sandra Harper-Lamgo is a resident of Red Oak, Texas, who wears multiple hats as an author/writer and "farmpreneur". "Sandi" finds solace in the Lord, motherhood, adoption, and animals, and focuses her energy on home-schooling, writing, and managing the Doodle breeding program, while learning to live joyfully amidst life's tribulations.

Philip "Phil" Lamgo, on the other hand, is a husband, father, rancher, and cowboy who oversees the livestock operations at Lamgo Farms. The farm boasts an array of animals, including cattle, horses, ducks, chickens, miniature Harlequin and Babydoll sheep, and their personal dogs, which are scattered across the property.

Blessed with eight beautiful children, the Lamgo family always has something exciting going on.

Operations Manager

Andrew Lamgo, operations manager at Lamgo Sheep, Red Oak, TX

Andrew Lamgo

Andrew Keeps It All Together

As Operations Manager of Lamgo Sheep, Andrew is in charge of every aspect of their sheep program.

Andrew has extensive experience with cattle through his dad, Phil and his grandfather Stan Harper of the famous Harper Cattle ranches with operations in TX, NM and CO.

Throughout his life, Andrew rode side by side with top cowboys tending the cattle, elk and bison on the ranches of Harper Cattle.

He's probably seen and done more by age 14 than most adults will ever see in a lifetime. With his wealth of experience and compassionate nature, it was only natural for Phil and Sandi to have complete trust in his overseeing this new endeavor.

Although you may never interact with Andrew online - be assured his watchful eye is constantly where it should be: on the sheep.

2023 is Andrew's first year of lambing, but compared to cattle - this should be a piece of cake!
